Films: Beasterday (2014)
Alias: None
Type: Mutant
Location: Civilized Area/Forest
Height/Weight: Twice that of an average elephant.
Affiliation: Neutral
Summary: Killer rabbits are very hard to pull off. Most of the time, you simply cannot make cute bunnies scary. But the lagomorph here is a bit different from the rest. It actually looks like a legitimate monster...on the most shoestring of budgets.
History: The local Easter festival in a quiet town is about to go belly up. Out of nowhere, a giant bipedal mutant rabbit has risen, and it intends to destroy everything as it feasts on anything in its path. By the time it reaches civilization, few can hope to stop it.
Notable Kills: Nothing special.
Final Fate: After reaching the more populated part of town, the rabbit is finally put out of its misery when it's shot in the face several times, downing it.
Powers/Abilities: None.
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 2-The monster here should have been a slam dunk. Its design is a rather unique and unnerving thing, looking like an anthropomorphic rabbit with a skull for a face. All of that said, the effects are TERRIBLE. It is so obvious that the monster is just a puppet held by marionettes. And clearly, the guy was no puppeteer either, as the beast often falls into unusual positions due to being moved around like that.
Trivia: -This film was directed by John Bacchus, who's mostly known for low-budget softcore porn movies/parodies. Huh...
-This film was also known as "The Beaster Bunny".
